We are in the heart of winter and have been getting a lot of snow. We are looking forward to a great year and have been seeing some nice animals, although they are having to work hard to forage in the deep snow. The mountains are especially beautiful this time of year.
We have been lucky enough to have had a lot of exposure in some prominant magazines over the past couple of years. Here are some links to those articles:

Once again, our Backcountry
Horsemanship Clinics featuring Craig Cameron were one of the highlights
of our summer. We had participants from New Mexico, Texas, New Mexico and
everywhere between. Craigs incredible personality and ability to teach,
combined with our unique wilderness setting, sets this clinic
apart from anything in the world. It truly is something that you must join
to understand what its all about.
We will be offering two clinics
for 2010:
June 28-July 2and July 4-8
You can read more about this trip in an article in the February 2007 issue of the Quarter Horse Journal. by Jim Bret Campbell, who joined us on Craig's trip in 2006.

Divide Trail with the
Guardian in the Background |
We will be offering a Continental Divide
Trail Ride Aug 18-26, 2010. This is one of the most magnificent trips
in the world, riding on the top of the world along the spine of the Rocky
Mountains through the Weminuche Wilderness, the largest in Colorado. This
may very well be the highest you can be for eight days on a horse in the
United States!

Mike's Bull that was called in First
Rifle Season of 2009
|
During late August through mid September we spent our time in the high country in pursuit of elk with primitive weapons (bow and blackpowder). The weather was incredibly warm and the rut was later than normal. The warm weather continued throughout the entire rifle seasons as well allowing us to call in bugling bulls all the way into November. As a matter of fact, we called in all of the bulls that we took during the first rifle season.
